Shortly after my grandmother became pregnant with my mother, her husband passed of lung cancer. Her mother helped her raise two daughters while she went to college to earn a teaching degree to provide for her family as a single mother. While she taught, she purchased several life insurance policies over the years, none of which our family was aware of until her passing at age 92. She lived a very modest life so this was certainly not expected. Realizing she was able to obtain access, while on a tight budget, to such policies developed a passion in me to discover this opportunity to build generational family wealth through life insurance.
A few years later, another family member was diagnosed with terminal cancer. He felt relieved knowing that he had a life insurance policy in place that would pay off the house and get their daughter through college. Unfortunately, their policy contained fine print that stated it was only an accidental life policy. Therefore, it did not pay anything to relieve the financial burden his wife is still carrying. Having an agent on your side does not cost you a penny more–the insurance companies pay us without charging you more.
